Description

Pickleball is one of the nation’s fastest growing sports and the adaptive version is proving to be equally popular! An engaging mix of tennis and ping-pong – pickleball is simple to learn and offers plenty of fun for experts and novices alike. Adaptive pickleball is very similar to the standard version; the only rule change is that players in wheelchairs are allowed an extra bounce. It’s a very inclusive activity because people with and without disabilities can play together.

Thanks to a partnership with Craneway Pavilion, adaptivee pickleball athletes have the opportunity to receive a one-hour weekly lesson at Craneway from an experienced instructor. Note that these lessons are for athletes with some previous pickleball experience. Athletes new to pickleball should first attend BORP's Saturday pickleball sessions from 1-4 at James Kenney Community Center.
