Summary

Join BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation for this one hour Workshop designed for participants in the blind and low vision community.

Description

Tai Chi is a system of slow, synchronized movements that improves balance, generates positive energy, and increases circulation to the brain. Tai Chi's slow, fluid movements promote energy flow, called "Qi" ("chee") throughout the entire body, mind, and spirit, while strengthening the core and stretching the tendons. It can reduce the risk of falls, and enhance overall health.

This one hour work workshop is designed for those who are a part of the blind and low vision Community. You will learn simple Tai Chi moves that you can practice at home and we will have volunteers to help you with the movements in class. We will include partner work involving light, non-invasive touch. You will leave feeling relaxed in body and mind.

No prior Tai Chi experience is required.

This workshop will be recorded for teaching purposes.
