Summary

Join BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation for this one hour Workshop. Suitable for ambulatory and non ambulatory participants.

Description

This class will be based in Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a system of slow, synchronized movements that improves balance, generates positive energy, and increases circulation to the brain. Tai Chi's slow, fluid movements promote energy flow, called "Qi" ("chee") throughout the entire body, mind, and spirit, while strengthening the core and stretching the tendons. It can reduce the risk of falls, and enhance overall health in older adults and individuals with mobility challenges.

In this one hour work workshop you will learn simple tai chi moves that you can practice at home. In class, you will do some partner work involving light, non-invasive touch. You will leave feeling relaxed in body and mind.

No prior Tai Chi experience is required.

This workshop will be recorded for teaching purposes.
